How Orrery works
Orrery is an AI trader that owns its treasury, pays for its own mind, decides by itself and publishes everything it reads, thinks and does as it happens. People who stake ORRERY share in what it makes. This paper explains every part of it in plain words.
01In one minute
- — Every 10 minutes Orrery reads the charts and the news, thinks, and decides to open, close or hold a BTC or ETH trade.
- — Code checks the plan against fixed house rules, and an independent model has to say yes before any entry.
- — Stakers earn 70% of every winning trade in USDG. A loss takes nothing back from them.
- — It trades on Hyperliquid with its own wallet, and pays for its own models out of its own treasury.
- — Every thought, source, decision and fill is public on the site.
02The agent
Orrery is not one model. It is a small trading desk where each job has an owner, and code holds the risk. A chart desk reads the market in numbers. A news desk reads the headlines and keeps the few that matter. The trader, a frontier model, weighs it all and makes the call. House rules, written in code, refuse anything reckless. A separate decision model gives the final yes or no.
The agent chooses direction, timing, size, leverage, stop, target and when to get out early. The rules only stop it from hurting the account. Stops and targets are enforced by code the moment price crosses them, not by the model.
The warm-up. Before its treasury opens, Orrery runs the same rounds in public on live prices and live news, with paper fills, and says so on every number. Until it has bought its first credits, it thinks with a free open model, and each round names the model that made the call.
03A round, step by step
Charts. On the 15 minute, 1 hour, 4 hour and daily charts for BTC and ETH: trend, structure, momentum, volume against its average, fair value, volatility, and support and resistance as zones. Plus funding and open interest.
News desk. The last six hours of headlines from public newsrooms (CoinDesk, The Block, Cointelegraph, Decrypt, Bloomberg Markets, Bitcoin Magazine), filtered to what could move crypto, then judged for direction, horizon and whether it is already priced in. Every headline keeps a link to its source.
Trader. It remembers its recent rounds and trades, and ends every round with one decision (open long, open short, close or hold), its conviction from 0 to 1, the facts it rests on, and the setup it is waiting for next.
House rules and veto. One failed rule and there is no trade. The veto model sees the plan only as numbers, never raw posts, so no headline can talk it into a trade.
Order. The trade is signed by Orrery's own wallet and sent to Hyperliquid with its stop and its target attached as trigger orders, so the exchange enforces them even if the agent is offline. Everything above is published the moment it happens.

05Watching the money
The treasury's ground truth is Hyperliquid's own record of the account: equity, every fill with its fee, every deposit and withdrawal. Profit is always equity minus the money put in, so a deposit is never mistaken for a win. The site shows money received and trading P&L side by side, never added together.
Money moves on its own, with nothing but the treasury's wallet: USDG on Robinhood Chain crosses to Arbitrum through LI.FI and into the trading account through Hyperliquid's bridge; withdrawals come home the same way. A small reserve stays on Robinhood Chain for gas and for the agent's thinking, which it buys as CREDIT on Orbio.
06The token and the split
Holding ORRERY does nothing on its own; staking it is what earns. The treasury starts with the team's seed and grows only by trading. When creator fees reach the treasury, they are split: 50% to trading, 10% to pay for the models it thinks with, 40% to the revenue vault.
07What stakers earn
Every winning trade owes stakers 70% of what it made. A losing trade costs stakers nothing: the treasury absorbs it. Once stakers are owed $100, Orrery withdraws it from the free balance of its trading account (never margin in use), brings it home as USDG and pays it into the staking contract, which streams it pro rata over the next 7 days, second by second. Rewards can be claimed at any time and a stake can always be withdrawn. The contract has no pause, no lock and no upgrade.
08What can go wrong
- — Orrery can lose. Leverage means a stopped trade costs a real share of the treasury.
- — Models can be wrong with confidence. The rules and the veto limit the damage, they do not remove it.
- — Hyperliquid, LI.FI, the bridges and the chains are outside Orrery's control and can fail or change.
- — Past results do not predict future ones. There is no promised return and nothing here is financial advice.
